I'm considering switching my computer to SSD. I'm concerned about the ease to do so. It's this guide all that needs to be done to take my current install and put it onto a SSD?

My second concern is reliability. I'd probably stick with Intel due to their reputation, but it's there any real info as to which drives last longer? The current slick deal on the vertex 3 is rather tempting...
 
Get a Crucial M4 and call it a day.

In terms of that guide you posted, yes that should work.
