I'm currently running my OS off of my Vertex 3 which is using the onboard controller. Tomorrow I would like to switch from onboard to my RocketRAID 2720 without breaking the OS. I tried it briefly tonight and Windows started to load but then to get the 0x7B BSOD. I've run into this a while ago but cannot remember what needed to be done. Thanks for your help everyone.

If the RocketRAID is currently plugged in and its drivers installed, then it should have worked. I wouldn't recommend that card over the Intel ports, though.
