Hey all, ive been pending a upgrade on my rig for a while, so yesterday sent a order to scan for a 3870 (powercolor).
Ive got an infamous 775dual vsta, with a 9800 pro in the agp slot at the minute. What im wondering is what i should do- if im switching to the PCI-E lane should i totally uninstall all of the drivers and start from scratch?
Ive been watching this forum for about 2 months, but i didnt have a non-free email account so couldnt register until recently ^^.
I hope the 3870 works, i read some threads on other peoples systems working with them, you just have to switch a downstream pipeline off in bios- is that important? I could find any entries explaining exactly what it is.

Btw i ordered a 250gb IDE hdd and a 530W hiperpower psu to go with the upgrade- ive got core 2 duo and a gb of ram so its decent for games- but i thought enoughs enough when the 9800 wouldnt run bioshock ^^. Thanks.
