My main drive is a 320gb WD 8mb SATA right now in my shuttle and I recently picked up a 200gb ATA Seagate, I believe it's a 7200.7 drive, which is running, more or less empty on my fileserver.

Which would be a faster main drive for me? The 320gb seems laggy or slow to me.

IIRC, the 3200SD and 7200.7 are pretty neck and neck when it comes to performance. Head over to storagereview.com and do a comparison
