Anyone know if they plan to release a solid door version? I'm not a huge fan of windows, but the idea is growing on me for my next build, its just going to be more expensive because I'd want everything to look sweet.

Many cases allow the switching (hah!) of side panels. If the 810 Switch is one of them, you can just order an extra right side panel and switch it out.

All you need is for an owner to report whether they can switch their left and right side panels and report back - usually if they don't have some odd attachment mechanism (like the Corsair 550D) this is no problem.

When I wanted to check my CM Storm Scout's interior temps without side vents I did this - then I ordered a replacement solid side window, because the old one let dust in the case.

Hmmm I didn't even think about that... now to figure out if they're the same on both sides...

Thanks for the tip... didn't think about if they were the same or not and ordering a second right side...
Can anyone with a case check if they're swap able? Also, I wonder how much an extra door costs...

Thanks, I emailed and asked if they sell them and how much... we shall see..

Hey centex99 - once you find out, make sure you let us know. I'm very interested as well.

In my situation, I might want a bigger window, but it would be nice to have a blank canvas and/or a backup in case I screw up the mod...

was told "Unfortunately we do not have a non windowed side panel for the
Switch 810 panel"
I replied and asked if they sold the panels anyway and if so, how much the one on the right (non window) side costs... has anyone verified yet if the doors swap? I'll get my case tomorrow so will know then, but figured I'd ask anyway...

BTW - I had a thought...

If you just can't get a solid panel, you could wrap either the window or the whole side panel in vinyl. Loads of colors and even textures are available.

You could even do something different like a 3M Di-Noc Carbon Fiber Wrap:

I think doing just the window on a gunmetal or matte black 810 Switch could actually look good, and it would also keep the window from getting scratched. You could always remove it later. You could also trim some other parts to match - like bay covers, etc.

I actually may have to use this idea for something similar in the future - as I haven't decided on which case I am getting yet between the 810 and the Corsair 550D.

The 550D comes with snap-off plastic fan covers on the side and top panels of the case that don't look all that great. They are just begging to get wrapped in carbon fiber!
