i'm wondering if anybody has mounted a MCW 60 block on a radeon 4890 card?

hole to hole spacing is good, back plate fits, but the core doesn't seem to mate onto the face of the block terribly well. it's not leaving an even application of thermal compound when i test-mount the block and take it off.

just looking for some feedback before i go oldschool and cut the shim off of the chip. ;)

I emailed Swiftech 2 days ago and got a response from Gabe today. He reports the two are fully compatible.

yeah, i got it to work this time around. the MSI card that i originally purchased was a nightmare. i ended up exchanging it. this sapphire 4890 installed nice and easy. not a lot of OC headroom, unfortunately, but at least it works right.

hopefully it'll clock better after i put some more cooling on the power control ICs.
