swiftech warranty question

I just received a MCP600 and MCP650

both of these pumps have extremely long power wires. Im spending alot of time and money to modify a case to hold this wcing system so this is the last thing i want to look at. I am comfortable with cutting the wires and putting a molex connector on. However I would really hate to void the warranty in the first week of having the pump.

think swiftech would void the warranty if i do this?

how did you get an mcp600 from swiftech?

Also, I am sure if you were to cut the wires nothing bad would happen to the pump, but that swiftech would claim you voided the warranty by doing so if a problem ever did arise with the pump.

didnt get it from swiftech

found someone who had some extra stock lying around :)

Going to test it and the mcp650 and see what one i like best. The other one will go in some future watercooling project

The mcp600 is generally the better pump, it is much quieter than the D4, however I would be wary and make sure you got the rev2 mcp600, because the first generation was prone to failures (one of the reasons why swiftech stopped carrying it, that and supply line issues). They made a new revision which solved the failure issues however.

Swiftech here
go ahead and cut the wires, will not affect the pump warranty - your plug now though

out of curosity, why not ask the vendor directly for such info ?

emailing swiftech in my experiance is about a 5 day wait, which i dont have a big problem with. However for something so simple id rather get the quick answers this forum can provide :)

thank you though.
