I've heard that this block is less than optimal with this chip. Anyone have any advice (besides just to buy something new). Is there a correctable issue, and what would the performance detriments look like?

If you already have the block and your not out to set the world record I would use it.

Storm is good for single die chips. The integrated HSF and issue that quadcores are two dice makes it less then optimal for intel quad cores.

Then again unless you're running an all premium loop I wouldn't worry
