I was reading on Petras site and it says the D-tek barbs make great replacements for swiftech rads. Now the D-teks are 1/4" BSPP, the Radiator is NPSM. Will they really work together? I know they are both non tapered, but aren't the Threads/inch different for both?

Not sure what the EK barbs are, but they work exceedingly well with the MCR-320-qp.

I think they are 1/4 NPSM. I may be wrong :)

Petra's sells the EK barbs for the swifty rads for a little more. I'd say they're worth it.

the plastic barbs that are stock DO NOT FIT. (unless petra's sent me the wrong plastic barbs)

The threading on the stock plastic barbs i got on my first MCR320QP have maaaany more threads per inch than the EK barbs that do fit have.

NPSM and BSPP are roughly similar enough to the point where BSPP fittings will work fine in NPSM openings. All of Swiftech's new stuff are BSPP. As of right now the new MCR220's are 1/4" BSPP, but there are still a few old ones from previous manufacturing runs that still have 3/8" NPSM openings. The MCR320 should be heading towards 1/4" BSPP soon as well according to Gabe. They're currently 3/8" NPSM to my knowledge.
