swiftech rad and fittings

The MCR220-QP uses 3/8" NPT threaded fittings, those 1/4" BSPP (G1/4) threaded fittings that you linked to will not work. You need 1/2" barbed, 3/8" NPT threaded fittings. Typically, the MCR220 does not come with fittings; however, some stores (such as ours and Jab-Tech) offer drop-down menus on the radiator product pages to include the barbs you need.

*edit* ...and, if you're looking for nickel plated brass barbs for the MCR220 (instead of plastic barbs), then you'd need a couple of these.

Ok cool thanks for the help. Im still trying to get the funds together but when I do im waiting for you to get the CoolKit Basic - Rev.2 in stock, lol so i can pick up it. If i do that ill grab the 1/2 fittings for the rad.

Depending on how long that is i might grab it from jab-tech, but if i do i assume these are the correct fittings

Nope, those are 3/8" barbed, 1/4" BSPP threaded fittings. The correct fittings for 1/2" ID or 7/16" ID tubing on an MCR220 would be these: http://schoolsurfer.us/cgi-bin/nph-...2-barb-fitting-for-1-2-ID-tubing-pr-2573.html

(don't worry, the above link does go to Jab-Tech... I just had to use a proxy because, 'in the interest of competition' (read: reasons unknown), Jab-Tech's owner decided to ban our office IP from viewing their site)

As for the CoolKit Basic, we're waiting for parts from Swiftech to arrive, as always...

Ok cool, thanks alot Petra, very much appreciated. Thats so funny that Jab-tech banned your ip. I almost fell off my chair! Personally i feel better with using metal barbs than those nylon plastic ones. so when you get that stuff from swiftech let us know, ill pick up that kid and grab the http://www.petrastechshop.com/aqhifig3th1o.html bars for the radiator!
