Hi all,
I decided to go for a swiftech watercooling solution for my pc.

Anyone tried the 22600 and 8600 cooling kits series?
Which one u think has better cooling performance?

I am thinking of getting and the MCW5002-PT™ LIQUID COOLED THERMOELECTRIC ASSEMBLY FOR INTEL® PENTIUM® 4 PROCESSORS (sorry for the Caps, copy-paste from site), anyone tried it? I want to combine with one of the two series, anyone done it? Good results?

Thank you all. :)

I have the 8600 kit, it does pretty well for me, 32 C idle (Though I idled around 29 C on massive amounts of air, it was noiser than a vaccuum cleaner). The main weakness is the small rad.... I would definately recommend the 22600 instead of the 8600, it has a better rad. I wish I had bought it instead... but at the time I misread one of the descriptions and though that the 8600 was designed for 1/2" ID tubing, so I bought it instead of the 22600. My setup would definately run much cooler if it had a real rad and not that tiny 80mm one (Working on figuring out where I could put a Bonneville core, I have a small, crowded case).

Another thing to keep in mind...... Quick connects are the devil.... hose clamps are your friend. I put some quick connects on my rad, then wanted to get them off because they weren't fully sealing, but they were damn near impossible to get off. I managed to pry one off with a screwdriver, but the other wouldn't budge..... I went at it with a hacksaw :D ..... damn that felt good after struggling with those worthless things for hours on end. So I would suggest you avoid quick connects like the plague, and go to your local hardware store and pick up some extra hose clamps.

Quick connects are damn easy to usee, you just have to buy the tool for them.

All swiftech kits come with that tool, or you can buy one form USPlastics for like $3.

All it does is allow you to hold that collar down in a flush fashion securely so you can remove teh tube. Also note you have to be able to exert a twisting motion to get it out.

There's a tool? My swifty kit didn't come with one. Getting tubing in and out isn't that hard, but getting it off something solid, like a rad intake, is damn near impossible.

adding a second 80mm rad to the 8600 kit will drop the temps ~4°C
the 22600 kit will drop the temps another 2°C+ as compared to the dual 80s

two separate 80s are easier for most people to fit than a rad with two 120mm fans,
that's why we offer both

to remove even the most reluctant push-fit connector:
put the open end of a 1/2" wrench over the grey collet to the top of the fitting,
placing the thumb on the wrench flat, grasp the tubing with the fingers and using the thumb as a fulcrum rotate the tubing while pulling 'over the thumb'

not really too difficult to do - once one understands just how to attack it

that's why we offer both

BillA do you work for Swifttech? If you do can you tell us when we can start seeing the 6002 water blocks in stock? I've been planning on getting one, but they've been outta stock for a while so I've been holding off.

VP Engn

ck your preferred distributor, they have been shipping since last week

Thank you all for your replies according to the two series,

But what about the MCW5002-PT, the peltier cooler.

Anyone knows anything about it?

try Sidewinder, should have 2 by Friday
also CrazyPC; and Directron (10 pcs will ship today)
- you can order off the site, but we will ship the distributors first

be cool

Bill 1/2 wrench is my normal tool for quick connects...seems great minds think a like ;)
