I found this pump and i wanna hopefully be able to water cool 2900xt when it comes out and a c2d extreme cpu. Do you think this pump is quiet and high flow rate at the same time, i have heard it got really good reviews, but i want to buy a sure thing.

it's definitely not the quietest pump, so I'd suggest getting a nice thick gel-pad from petras. With that pad it's probably the best noise/price/performance ratio I've seen to date.

That sounds really good, i read and saw that it was 320gph, i thought it was going to be like a boat pumping the water around. Has anyone seen a 2000series water block yet?

It is 320gph with no back pressure. With a normal cooling loop, you will get around 60-120 gph.

Wouldn't sound dampening material have a similar sound "dampage?" to the gel stuff at petras?

Petras gel is quite different... GOOD sound material (with a layer of sponge, a layer of hardmat and a layer of rubber) would be similar... But most sound isolation material is the crappy foam-only kind.

It's definitely not quiet, if you hard mount it to your case you'll be in for a surprise. But when placed on some Petras "gel stuff" it is silent.

Gelstuff can be substituted for 2 1" long pieces of tubing, provided you hold the pump down with zipties (no screws!)

That's a negative on the need for Petra's Gel stuff with this pump. I'm all for helping Alex and Quoc out, but the neoprene pad included is enough to prevent any rattling noises. The only noisy part about this pump (which can't be muted by Petra's Gel) is a high pitch hum it makes when running at full speed. Luckily it's quiet enough to be silenced by your case fans (unless you have a really quiet rig).
