swiftech hyrdx coolant question

My brother finished hooking up his water cooling system yesterday and now he's leak testing. He bought a 2 oz bottle of that swiftech hydrx, mixed it will 1L distilled water and poured it into his double bay reservoir. It only filled up a little more than half way up his reservoir so he put distilled water in for the rest. HeI ended up using probably close to a little under 2L of distilled water when the original mixture says 1L. Should he get another bottle of the hydrx and dump it in or should he be ok?
 
unless u want it to be more UV or colorful, than you should be fine.
 
being that its diluted twice as much as its suppose to be, will it affect the anti algae or anti corrosion properties?
 
It will be half as effective, obviously. Throwing in another bottle couldn't hurt.
 
It won't hurt anything to leave it as is, but I would suggest sticking to mfr. recommendation and add another bottle. Considering what he likely spent on the WC system, adding three bucks worth of insurance should be a no-brainer.
 
Swiftech also states that systems with clear panel cases should double the use of the coolant from 5% to 10% to ensure alge doesn't grow due to the tubing be exposed to light coming thru the clear panels. Some people here have said that the use of aquarium anti-alge products works as well, so if he doesn't want a really dark/bright green in the loop he could use that, I think its clear.

The other concern of under-mixing coolant due to galvanic corrosion of mixed metals in the cooling blocks would have me bring it up to minimum, I haven't really read much on water-cooling forums about people having problems with erroded parts but in the world of coastal boating (salt water), it happens very quickly and attacks all metals which are submerged, in which all parts not properly protected pit and weaken (the protection is the use of sacrificial zincs attached to the under water parts, the zincs take the hit and need to be replaced yearly)
