Swiftech H220 died...options?

Ok, so a while back, my Swiftech H220 pump died. I cannot find any paperwork on it (I must have bought it 3rd party), so Swiftech can't/won't replace it under warranty. For the time being, I have a H50 on my rig. I'm curious as to what some options would be. Here is what I have:

1) Buy a Swiftech MCP50X pump, and disassemble/replace pump on H220 CPU block.
2) But a completely different pump (and possibly CPU block?) and just insert it in-line with the rest of the unit.
3) Replace with something else like a H100 (newegg has refurbs going for $65 currently).
4) Keep using the H50.

I am running a i7 2600k, not overclocked (no need to). The downside of #1 is that I void the warranty on the pump.

Let me say that while I have these, I have not gotten into water cooling. In a way, it kind of freaks me out that a leak will develop and I'll have to replace my whole computer. Also, there is the maintenance on the loop, hence why I like the maintenance-free AIO coolers.

What would you guys recommend? If I end up going with another AIO rather than try to use the parts of the H220, is the H220 worth anything selling it with a broken pump? Thanks in advance.

Well, I would recommend the Swiftech H220X for this reason. Seems to be super easy to repair/upgrade.

I was trying to stay away from $150 this time...

All of my options should be ~$60 or less.

If you have no plans to OC, just buy some good quiet, high static pressure fans for the H50 and call it a day. I had the first H50 on my 980X and it did a pretty good job. It's all you need with no OC.

I would just get the Swiftech MCP50X pump. I would not disassemble it to install on the H220 pump/waterblock. It will void the warranty of the new pump even though it is a direct fit (confirmed by Bryan @ Swiftech). Simply disassemble the H220 block & remove the impeller. Route the water through the block in the opposite direction of what is labeled on it. Place the MCP50X somewhere in your loop. Call it a day.

So I'm actually strongly thinking about this option. The H100 is ok (the probable replacement), but the pump is nowhere near as good.

I see that the H220 has 5/8" OD tubing...does anyone know what the ID is? I ask because I'm going to have to get some tubing and barbs/compression fittings if I go with the MCP50X.

Also, since I have only ever used an AIO, what is the best thing to refill the H220 with?

It's 5/8 x 3/8.

As far as the coolant goes it really is just a personal preference. Although there are some that you really want to avoid. Probably better to just start a new thread for that or do a search. I just use a mix of distilled water & antifreeze. Works fine for me.
