Q1. I want to buy the h20-apex wc kit but will it fit in my case is the problem. I have a chenbro gaming bomb. Would it fit???? Would my pci cards etc. be in the way of the external radiator??


Q2. Could i put the radioator inside the case??? If so were? :confused:

got a dremel? put it at the top of your case. or mount it outside. I had 2 rads, pump and everything else in my lian li pc60, it all fit fine. If you're that worried you could always get a new case :D
 
wat about the second question?? could i actually puy it on the top of the case???? Would the water pump vertically up???
 
yup if you get a good enough pump. it'll take a few mins to prime up to that point but then you'll be fine (turn the pump on and fill the system and leak test before you turn the computer on) it'll happily run from that point on.
 
That seems good. Im gettin a 7/8" holesaw like it says in the instructions then ill be fine. Just one more thing. THis might not be the right section but im a noob at this sort of thing. So if i buy a holesaw does it just go into any normal drill??
 
ok before you start cutting up your case,
1) take ALL your parts out of it so no metal shavings go on it.
2) yeah it goes on a drill
3) maybe visit the case mods forum to see what other people have done, might get some ideas.
4) look at the show off your watercooled system thread in this forum, might get some other ideas from there.
5) you could just cut a square out of the top of your case and mount the rad inside your case at the top then you don't have to run tubing and stuff outside your case and it looks good too.
 
I'll save you some headache.

1: yes, you will have issues. That system will not fit inside the case. Your only option is to modify your case to fit an external mount on the top of the chassis.

I have a Chenbro Gaming Bomb case. The case is only a mid tower, and it's near impossible to mount any single 120mm fan radiator, not even to mention a dual 120mm fan radiator system. To get a single radiator inside the case, I had to mod the front section to get it to fit. I had to break out all the green 'airflow' fins inside the case, cut out some metal flaps, and remove the pull tabs to take off the face plate. This allowed a small radiator to barely fit inside the system, and closing the door is now a little work. Not to even mention that in it's current position, the airflow is horrible.

I tried to mount it externally on the outside of the case as well. The back of the system above the PCI slots is far too small to house the radiator.... Your only option is to get to work with a dremel, and place the radiator on the top of your case, and try to secure it.

I had to buy myself a full tower / super tower to hold all of my components. You will probably have to do the same.
 
there's plenty of room on the back of 99% of all mid-tower cases to install the radiator if you use the included spasers and adjust the radbox correctly. You'll still have plenty of room to get to your PCI cards and your video card connectors. Just take a little time and read through the instructions and test fit everything. I fit the kit on a very small Cooler Master Centurion 5 with noo problems at all. Here's a few shot of how much clearance you will have after everthing is installed.

The Mountain Mods U2 UFO has more room that any case out there and the radiator is a direct boltin on the right rear fan holes................. :eek: But it's more than likely out of your price range................. :D

WOAH Thats a cool case and not outta my price range :p :p

Could someone please recommend a big case but no more than say £200. Something that would fit that watercooling system with not much trouble plus everything else and still have enough room so everything is not cluttered.

Any ideas??

And also is the lian li pc2000 series any good??
 
Is the only difference between the Lian Li PC2100 plus and PC2100 the air duct thing for the cpu. And is the lian li pc2100 big enough?
 
Bio-Hazard: Is that your case with the APEX kit in it? Did you have to drill any holes to physially mount the radbox to the back where the fan holes are?
 
My test case. .............. :eek: The case has mount hole for 80, 90 and 120 fans. But the rad box has a ton of slots that should line-up with just about any case and give you plenty of adjustment. A little hint that's in the instructions also, if you can, use mounting holes other than the 120's as this will give you more room to adjust the rad-box out of the way of cables and card slots.

I would tend to agree with you, but the back of the Chenbro Gaming Bomb is not 100% flat. It actually has an "L" that sticks out from the back of the case 1" above the PCI slots, and continues down the entire side. This prevents anything bigger than a 80mm fan really from being mounted in the back.
 
The rad box will mount to a 80mm fan mount just fine. As a matter of fact, it works better on the smaller fan mounts because it gives you more room for adjustment of the rad box.This pic is of the rad box mounted to 90mm fan mount holes............... :eek:
