Hello All,

*WARNING* n00b @ watercooling.

i have just recently bought the Switftech kit and im about to install it in the Stacker.

been thru the work logs (wat a pain in the a$$) to see if anyone else had same setup.

wanted to stick the rad in the drive bay but there is about a 10mm gap left over - ive seen a video over at DD with someone using Velcro to secure it there....not my style.

anyway all u stacker owners out there pls show me ur setup as i prefer to keep the rad inside the case.

If you want an idea and have some sheet metal you can try what I did with this armor case...

Those are Lian Li bay covers but flat sheet metal would work just as well.

After it was all finished I put tape around the rad to stop the warm case air from getting drawn back through and I taped the gap between the rad and the bottom 5.25" drive which ended up in the bay above the rad. Roughly a 3/8" gap up top.
 
i too have the armor case with mine sitting right infront 120.2 just like the post above me but i didnt have to screw it in or anything
my tubing is enough force on the rad. to keep it from coming forward so it just hangs out there happy in the front :p
 
I had to ship that PC to Miami FL so just having the rad setting in the case was not an option.
 
no, i don't have a stacker and i don't have specific advice if you have the classic stacker.

however, if you have the stacker 810, then i believe that you can mount the rad using the two rear 120mm fan ports.

as i said, it only applies if you have the 810, however it would be good if you specify which stacker you have.
 
unfortunately its the original Stacker with bays for 2 PSUs which i also intend to use.

cmon theres got to be more stacker users out there....
 
look in the post pics of your rig section and check out what ppl have done
im sure you can find your case

other than that just play around an test fit it, i had 3 places to mount my rad. but i chose to mount it infront inside the case that way if i had another pump failure (happen twice)
i wouldnt have to drain the loop to remove the parts of an external rad.
now if it fails i just unscrew the blocks and put it back on air
something to keep in mind, just play around with placement in your case till u find what works

only the tubing is keeping it in place but it cant move foward anyway so it just sits there
 
Look for a place that sells Aerocool case parts. They have a bracket in the front of the Masstige case that will screw into 5.25" bays, and hold a 120mm fan. You can use this in a manner similar to a RadBox. You may have to alter the bracket slightly as a second fan is nearly impossible to mount properly. The bracket hangs into the second fan area about 1/16". I'll be Dremeling mine a bit to make it fit properly.
 
Funny these threads keep popping up. Im getting a Stacker for xmas (TC01) and my winter job will help me get the Apex kit. Im thinking about putting the pump at the bottom of the drive bays in the last bottom bay, and laying the rad horizontally blowing out the bottom of the case through the vent that it has. The res I can put anywhere. Thats going to be mysetup. I dont feel like wasting half of my bays for a rad.

why not just use the radbox, and hang the rad off of the top fan port?

I think you'll find that it'll work better if you pull air up through the radiator and expel the air into the case.
Particularly effective if you have converted the 101 to "pseudo-BTX" motherboard config.

im afraid to put a couple tornado's on mine rad.
i had one on and xp90c and i could hear it everywhere i went in the house
