There is a review of my swiftech heatsink. I am using an MSI Neo platinum K8N with amd 64 3000+. I have updated to bios 1.43 which "fixed" the cpu temperature problem.
On that review their idle temps are about 34c while mine are 40c with a case temp of 28c. I really still think that the CPU temps are still being read wrong. Before 1.43 bios my CPU temp was 50c, but still 40c seems too high as well. I can only think that I installed the hsf wrong, but I reinstalled it twice and no change. I am using artic silver 3 with it. Both of my friends computers I have built with stock HSF have idle temps of 34c. Does not make sense.
Any thoughts?
