So far (I've only bee up for a day) I love this monitor. I tired it out in JKII, but I didn't see any ghosting...

My only desire was that it was 1600x1200, but it looks GORGEOUS as is...

Looks good ! I've had no complaints about my 1901FP. But since I was able to get a good deal on the 2001FP, and have a local buyer lined up for the 1901FP, I'm switching. Enjoy your monitor !

Are there any "lines" in the 1901fp? How is the monitor on greyscale and images. I need color depth!

In my opinion the 2001fp had greyscale issues, and the colordepth was lacking. It was great for games but didn't do well for design.

I'm wondering if the 1901fp is better.

I would have loved the higher version, just too much for me...

But enjoy :)

GEO-

I have NO lines in my screen. THe colors are great, much better than my UXHA+ screen on my laptop...

Like most LCDs, its not as vibrant as a high level CRT, but its great.

Anything specifc you'd want me to look at to see any jaggedness in the colors or anything?

Did you have any dead pixels when u got it? If not then do you know Dell's policies on dead pixels. Im assuming u asked becuase you bought it from them. If not lemme know :)

another thing im wondering. How can all of you people afford 600 dollar LCD screens. 300 seems like so much to be but i want an LCD badly to save space. IM just amazed on how everyone is diggin up $600 for their lcd's

glad to here you like your 1901FP.

I had one a while back ago and liked the image quality alot.

Ozzy-

What did you ditch it for?

Quicksilver-

I did not have (do not have) any dead pixels. In inspected it fairly close, on light, dark, and colored backgrounds, and it all looks great.

I believe Dell has a 8 dead pixel return policy, but im not 100% sure.

In terms of affording it, I do web design on the side, so it is a business expense for me. I spend probably 5-8 hours a day on my computer, so the bigger/brighter/nicer screen was a must.

Dell home has a 30 day satisfaction guarentee, and seem to be honoring it. Mine had no stuck pixelx/subpixels. If I remember correctly, neither did OZZ.

Jobs+Saving=$$ to splurge on hobbies! Seriously, you'd be amazed at how much you can allocate in a few weeks working.

Well i been workin for a while (3 months is a while for me cuz i never worked b4) and i made about $750. Thats not a whole lot it seems. Rite now i only got $200 left since i just upgraded my computer big time (ie. mobo, ram, cpu, graphics [much needed])

as in why did I sell it or what did it get replaced by?

this will answer both possibilities:

I'm upgrading my stuff quite often because if I dont, it actually costs me more $$$ in the long run because everyone knows that older tech equipment doesnt bring in the same resale value as stuff thats still considered "modern day" equipment. I'm very, very anal about keeping my equipment in tip-top shape so needless to say it still looks like brand new when I sell it thus bringing in top dollar.

and by the way, my 1901FP got replaced by a 2001FP.

Ozzy-

Yes, thats what I meant. How is the upgrade? Worth it? I've heard mixed results with that model.

Dell does have a 30 day guarantee, it even includes price matching.

Quicksilver-

You work part time? THen its hard spluring. But when you're working fulltime, it becomes pretty easy to save 100-200/week for 'stuff' aside from some savings/bills.
