Swapping old for new nVidia card

Quick question. I have a GeForce4 Ti4600 and I just bought a GeForce 6600 GT. I have the latest Forceware drivers installed from my last system reinstall. Can I just swap the cards, or should I reinstall drivers.
 
I would open the device manager, remove the Ti4600 and turn off the computer. Put in the 6600GT and turn the computer back on, you should be good to go.
 
I performed that (Major A's suggestion) operation going from my ti4600 to 6800gt and I had no ill effects.

However YMMV and the textbook best answer is to remove old drivers and reinstall.
