Swapped PSU's, now longer boot time... Why???

I just tried swapping my Corsair 400w psu with my Brothers OCZ Fatal1ty 550w psu. After swapping them over, it took a really long time to load up windows on both PC's so I swapped them back. I went to reboot both and it had the problem again. Now they boot fine after that initial start up.

What causes that? I'm running an OCZ Vertex 30gb SSD for my boot drive and he is running a WD Caviar Black 640gb in his.
 
I suppose it's some kind of random conflict between the motherboards and PSUs. I've never heard of that happening before though.
 
Yeah idk. Were both running AMD CPU's with GIgabyte Mobos. Theyre both working fine now with the original PSU's in place.

My PC took long to boot up after putting mine back in it too. Oh well, gonna wait and shell out the cash for at least a 650w psu
