Ok so I guess I was one of two orders for the Swan m10s and they are out of stock for 3 weeks. Audio insider has offered to send me the m12s instead. From the pictures the m12s don't look too appealing but maybe they look better in person? The audioinsider person claims they are 4 times as powerful as the m10s.

Should I wait out the 3 weeks for the m10s or just take the m12s? Is buying the m10 over the m12 purely cosmetic? Does anyone have any other reason?

I'm kinda confused by the M12's myself.

1. M12 > M10 in terms of numbering scheme, so using man-logic, does that mean m12 is better?
2. M12 is cheaper and has more power than M10
3. M12 has a bigger woofer

My guess is that M12 is geared for the gamer, and the M10 is overall more refined with less power output, but good balance.

Short answer - no. m10 uses the sub as more of a midrange fill to account for it's small mains. You'd then need a sub on top of that for bass if you're an audiophile. In contrast, m12 jumps from l/r for treble/upper mids directly to the sub foe bass and you lose the midrange boost the m10's have.
