Suspect a problem with my X850XT

Since I installed this video card (ATI X850XT), I've replaced the power supply twice. That problem always occurred while I was away from the computer, but the screensaver was gpu intensive. Since I stopped using that screensaver, I've had no problems (but it's still not been enough time to tell for sure) with the PSU in the system.

However, it seems that I am having trouble with the GPU now. I haven't had alot of time to play games, but it seems Oblivion has been causing me the most issue. I get GPU crashes, and that message that says it crashed and its being restarted. When that happens in Oblivion, the game becomes unplayable.

My question is this... what could be causing the GPU to crash like that? Software? Hardware? Drivers? I'm becoming concerned that I'll have to redeem my warranty and be without a video card for awhile.

The cooling on the card is functioning, and the case has plenty of circulation. The heatsinks on the card feel about as warm as my forehead. I had thought of that - but i'd be very surprised if that's the case given what I know about the cooling situation.

Just upgraded to the drivers released wednesday. Maybe it will help. *shrug*

It CCC what does it say the temp is? It is definately a video card issue. How good is the ventilation in your tower?
