I don't know where to start.

Installed a network dvr with cameras in my parents place of business.Which works fine.

They want to be able to view when they are at home.

I need to forward a port on the router and not exactly sure how to do that the manual is kinda vague verizion fios is the net service the router is verizion mi424.

Do i need to set something up on the pc too or just the router?

Before you do that please ensure there isn't an exploit in the software. It gets addicting watching other peoples lives.

Forward a external port like some random port (pick one ) then forward it to the internal one "80"

Example port 1977 is a rep port for a friend rdp server but rdp uses 3389
