SupremeFX X-Fi - odd problem

Alright, so this card came with the Maximus II Formula. Sounds really good so far. The only problem I'm having is with the front panel connections of the case. The headset jack works perfect, the microphone jack doesn't register I don't think..

I have it hooked to the soundcard with the case HD-Audio cord and the Bios is set to recognize the HD-Audio connection, not the other thing ..

So the problem is, the mic wont work for the front panel, only on the back of the card. That's really not a problem because i can always hook the headset back there with the working mic input, but when I plug the headset into the back it doesn't act as headphones. Everything plays on it like it's the left ear only. With it connecting to the front headset input it works great and both ear pieces work perfectly. But I can't split the headphone connections for one to stay in the back and one in the front.

So if I need to get the backside working properly for headphones, you think I would need to unhook the front panel connection, or should that not even matter? Or how I would I go about getting the front panel mic input to even work?

Hope this wasn't confusing.. I'll probably try unhooking the case connection just to see if it works anyway and update you guys about it.

Ok so un-hooking the case connector makes it act as just a mono headset now, both sides play for left and right. Why would the front connector for headphones work so good and the back side suck...
