Supermicro H8SGL-F Stability issues

If anybody experiences stability issues with these boards, such as failure to POST after a reboot - you need to disable two jumpers:

JI2C1 and JI2C2 - those are used for PCIE debugging.

"JI2C1/JI2C2 I2C to PCI-E Slot Enable/Disable Both Open (Disabled)"

Turns out, H8SGL-F can get a BIOS POST '3E' hang which was fixed for H8DGU-LN4F but not for H8SGL-F.

what does rthe PCIe debugging do ? I use a PCIE video card will it still work.



I apologize for Necroing this topic and also being a little off topic .I have a quick how in the hell do I update my Bios on this board I have tried via USB and I can boot to the USB but just get a blank screen .

Your video card will still work. You need to boot from USB into dos to update bios.
