Hey, I want to create and keep a list of all the "SuperBoards" for all the sockets that have been around. A SuperBoard would be a board that was a must have, a performance king in its day, had amazing feature set, and etc. For example how the A8R32-MVP(For CrossFire) and the A8N32-SLI(For SLi) are for the S939 Current day. This list will only contain the cream of the crop.

Intel
Socket 7 - ???
Slot 1 - Abit BX/BE6 II
Socket 370 - ASUS TUSL2(-C, Black Pearl)
Socket 423 - Abit TH7-RAID
Socket 478 - Abit IC7-G MAX III
LGA 775 - ASUS P5WD2 E-Premium [Current Socket]

AMD
Socket 7 - ???
Slot A - ???
Socket A - DFI LanParty NFII Ultra B
Socket 754 - DFI nF3 250Gb LanParty UT
Socket 939 - ASUS A8R32-MVP(ATi) | DFI nF4 SLI-DR(nVidia) [Current Socket]

*S940, and other Intel/AMD sockets are excluded because either its too old, or its a socket designed for servers (early S940 being an exception, but still not included)

Feel free to help me in filling this imcomplete list.
 
for socket a i would say the asus a7n8x deluxe 2.0

also i would say the abit at8-32x is the ati king for socket 939.

socket A - Abit NF7-S V2.0 / DFI nF2 Infinity/Lanparty
socket 754 - DFI nF3 250Gb LanParty UT
socket 939 - DFI nF4 SLI-DR but there are loads of good 939 boards which all perform very close to each other.

I'm gonna take all nominations, and personally research them before placing them on the list UNLESS, the spot is undisputed (ie time and time again people nominate lets say P5WD2 E-Premium with out providing a competing board)

Socket 370: Asus TUSL2-C
Dual 370: Abit BP6
Socket 423: only one that comes to mind is Abit's TH7-RAID...shortlived socket
Socket 478: Abit IC7 Max3
LGA775: Asus P5WD2-E Premium

Slot A: none, not trying to bash but all these chipsets sucked
Socket A: Asus A7N8X deluxe, Abit NF7-S, Epox 8RDA3+
Socket 754: Msi K8N Neo Platinum, Epox 8KDA3+
Socket 939: DFI NF4 SLI-DR, Asus A8N-SLI deluxe

For Socket 7 there's a board that I love but unfortunately I can't seem to find the model name. I even have one of the damn things sitting right next to me in my server (still running strong, pentium 233mmx baby!) and I can't find a silkscreen anywhere on it. Anyway, it's made by Asus, Baby-AT formfactor, Via Apollo MVP3 chipset. AGP 2x, 100fsb, SIMM's and DIMM's, so on. I've been looking for like 10 minutes trying to find the model...
