Hello I installed Super PI and AIM and Ventrilo were running at the time now I CANNOT calc Super pi when these programs arnt running..it just freezes over and over...ive tried deleting the files and doing it again but it just doesnt work...its not a major problem but i bet i could get a little faster time.
 
Are you trying the 1M calculation? It might just be that your CPU is getting 'overloaded', but i can't imagine that those other apps. you have running are very demanding.
 
no when i have NOTHING running Super Pi freezes...i HAVE to have AIM and Ventrilo up to run it...when i first ran it those programs were up...now i cant run it with them up..
 
Might be a voltage thing...

Going from 0 load to 100% load on a core might be bricking your system.

What are your 12v ratings in speedfan?

Does this happen at stock clocks?
 
+12v's are 0.96v and -16.97V

Super PI is only using 50% of my CPU though not 100% am i doing something wrong? did i have to configure it kinda like Prime95? Is Super Pi suppose to use 100% of your CPU?
 
You got a dual core cpu, means if you only are running one instance of superpi only one core will calculate the score, but try running two superpi at the same time and both cores will calculate and use 100% cpu power, one core is 50% workload.

uhh im not sure where your getting those numbers, but if they are infact the 12v rails then you have some power supply problems. the tolerance for 12v is supposed to be less then 5% +/- i believe, that +.96v looks like a software reading error, the -16.97 could be too, but if thats correct you have some serious voltage problems. take a screen shot if possible.

Also I have 2 programs up too that read temps and they are all different by quite a bit...what one is more accurate? I heard that TAT and Core Temp were both goo programs yet 5-10 degrees different????

I dont know how to run 2 instances of Super Pi. the second one gives me an error when i try to run it.
 
Dont trust speedfan reading, i dont think u got 16v on youre 12v rail, that would have killed youre mobo for sure.

And running two superpi at the same time needs a rock solid computer, try passing orthos for a few hrs first, then try running two superpi at the same time, you just open two and start them at the same time. Its hardcore:D
 
ive ran Prime95 that maxes both Cores of my CPU and my memory over night for over 10 hrs ^_^
