Super Lanboy help!

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in. I just put together my computer with an Antec Super Lanboy, and I plugged my iPod into the front ports and windows wont recognize it anymore! my iPod and iTunes are fully updated. I tried using my Bluetooth USB1.1 dongle and it works fine on both ports, i tried my PNY Attache 512mb USB2.0 flash drive and it works on both ports. I tried my sister's iPod and same problem. I tried both of our iPod USB cables, and neither help. I tried attaching it to a USB port in the back, and it works fine! Is something wrong with the USB ports? my iPod? help!

edit: I switched the front panel USB on my motherboard from USB3 to the other two(USB4) and i still have the same problem!

Affirmative. Windows just says that it doesnt recognize the USB device.

So it works fine when you use the usb ports on the mobo?

Yes indeed. My usb1.1 bluetooth dongle works in the front and on the mobo, my usb2.0 flash drive works in the front and on the mobo, but my ipod only works through the rear panel on the mobo, not the front.

is that the USB connector that is with the base that has external power. I know that some motherboards dont provide powered headers. That would explain the lack of detection since it knows something is there but it cant get enough juice from the port.

I will go with that suggestion. Most front-mounted USB ports aren't really powerful enough for the heavy-duty devices.

I have a 512 MB SanDisk Cruzer Titanium thumb drive that doesn't want to work in my front port, but I always attributed it to me doing something wrong... is it a problem with the connection instead?

Wait... did he actually suggest something? Sorry, I couldn't tell. Beside that, i've found a temporary solution: an iPod Dock! Stole it from my cousin. Weeeee! But now my iPod's skin is in the way of the dock...
