Hi all,
I recently got my new Sager notebook. This notebook has a widescreen "Super Clear Glossy LCD". This sounds like something an advertiser would say to make you be more interested in their product, but when I received it, it truly does make a difference. This LCD has this glossy coat over it which makes everything more vibrant, and bright, as well as very clear. The only downside is the bit of reflection you get from the gloss. The screen likes like pure liquid crystal though with this gloss. It's great.

My question is this. After getting my laptop, my regular CRT looks like crap, haha. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good CRT that had the same very clear look and preferably glossy coat. If not, could someone recommend a stand-alone LCD that does? Also, I'm looking in the 19" range or higher for LCD, and 21" range for CRT. Thanks all.
 
Yeah the first thing I thought of when I heard 'glossy' was that it would be crappy with reflections. Sounds cool though, I've never seen one in person.

Some NEC and AG Neovo models have the hard coating on the surface of the panel.

I think some LG one's have 'em too.

I saw the NEC and AG Neovo one, and although the protection it provides for the very fragile panel is great - the reflection was unbearable for me.
 
I have an NEC 1765, it has the glossy "coating" you want. It's actually just a plexi glass cover but man it looks GREAT. I love it.
