Another large VoIP provider is feeling the pinch and has laid off 40 employees. Most people feel that cable companies offering 3-for-1 type of services are really hurting this technology.

Sunrocket, one of the many VoIP service providers that has been suffering as a result of an all-out voice assault by the cable companies is rumored to have hit a major airpocket today. Our sources say that the company laid off about 40 of its employees, including some C-Level executives. While the company isn’t exactly out of business, things are pretty dicey here.

I have to agree, I had sunrocket for 2 months after switching from Vonage and it was nothing but problems. After talking to a tech for a couple of hours I told them to refund my money and went to Charter. I have had zero problems since.

Of course, you can still go to their website and sign up. Maybe the reason sunrocket is having so much trouble is because they are irresponsible? Changing the website might have been a good idea.

If you signed up for the 99$ per year or the 199$ 2 year deal call up your credit card company and have them refund it for you.
