Has anyone had any experience with this thing? Looks interesting. Let's assume the thermal resistance numbers quoted by svc (and probably provided by sunbeam) are correct, are those good numbers? I forget if they are better higher or lower.

Looks a little too similar to the Arctic Cooling Freezer64, minus some of the more hardcore noise-reducing elements.

Thanks for saying that! Because of that, I looked at the arctic cooler and there's a nice little graphic saying lower is better on thermal resistance numbers.

Hey it looks like a total copycat ripoff haha. But it is $10 cheaper. This is only cooling a S939 Sempron 3000+ so I'm sure the $20 sunbeam will suffice, and it'll look nice in the window for the person I am building it for.

It should be alright. I wouldn't be surprised if Arctic Cooling built it for Sunbeam.

You got a S939 Sempron?

Yeah. I have a cheap asrock dual board, figured i can build a cheapie amd system instead of the cheapest single core proc costing like $140, plus tax and shipping, i got the sempron for $82 + 15 shipping. I'm sure the extra cache isn't a huge difference (user will be downloading music, burning, internet and occasional dvd).

Well I'm still waiting for it, but I got it on ebay. They are most likely HP pulls.

I got it off ebay by typing in 939 sempron. This is the info:

AMD Sempron 3000+ Socket 939 "Palermo"

Model Number: Sempron 3000+

Frequency: 1.8 Ghz

L2-Cache: 128Mb

Hyper Transport: 1000 Mhz

Voltage: 1.35-1.4V

Part Number: SDA3000DIO2BP

Is the HT faster on this then the socket 754 part (I think I read it was 800). Oh well, it is from Australia, but we'll see if I get it lol.
