Summer overclocking is a no go. :(

Oh well, the heat got up to 89F outside and I live on the second floor. There is no air conditioning in the living room where my computer is and even though the computer is stable, a simple IBT test got me over 80C at the socket and 65C at the core. (FX8350 with a Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro in a push, pull config as an intake from the back.)

Also, I am using 2 fans on top of my Fractal Design r3 to pull the heat away but, it just is not enough in this heat. (I am using a Asrock 990FX Extreme 4 board.) Anyone else have to quit overclocking as well because of the summer heat?

It sucks but I personally don't mind. Why? Because the winter was nothing but depression for me.

You could go with a custom water cooled setup which might yield better temps.

You aren't the only one. Keep my computer in the bedroom and it happens to be one of the two hotter rooms in the house. Need to redo ducting for the AC to work for efficiently. During the winter I can keep it at 4.8-5.0Ghz but for summer it's got to drop down to 4.6Ghz.
