A friend of a friend of mine built an Xbox into a suitcase similar to the one I have used, and I thought that I would be able to do that too, but with a PC. This box I have made is not quite finished, and is a prototype anyway, with many design faults and errors, as you can see with many problems too it. When doing this project I aimed for completion and learning instead of having it look good, so next time with a better case to start with, I can do a proper job. Anyway, all I have left to do is add a window near the fans on the lid to show the lighted motherboard.

Pics!

These show the motherboard lighting I implmented.

A lot more pictures are on this tread on my friend's forum. http://www.aintnobullshit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=186

Hope you enjoyed.

EDIT: it would appear that someone else did this too, even on the 1st page of this forum. Oh well. My specs btw are:

Athlon XP 2500+ (2.1 GHz (Can't fit my good heatsink))
ATI X800 Pro
Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS
2GB PC3200
WD SATA 200GB Hard drive
DVD burner
Floppy Drive (gotta have one... )
Old crud heatsink (not stock, but comperable. I bought the CPU OEM)

btw this is my main computer, the only others I have are old Pentium 2 233 MHz's. It is totally portable and a lot cooler than my old standard ATX Case, on that case the max OC I got with this heatsink was 1.9 GHz or 2.0GHz, this thing can do 2.1-2.2 GHz depending on room temp.

the first portable computer i ever had was the size of a suitcase so if you want to go that route they have been around since the 80's.... but thats a cool mod... looks nice....

I like how added the sound card sticker to the case, nice touch. ;)

That is awesome! I love the duct tape, and of course the lighting is great. Good job, man!

ha ha, That is pretty kick ass.

This is a bisexual thread... with all that plywood and duct tape it could go in the ghetoo mod section too. ;)
