Suggests on an upgrade for my PC

I have some spare money and was thinking I'd throw some on my computer. I don't need to upgrade anything, I'm just looking to increase performance or decrease heat. I do a lot of movie ripping, encoding, etc.. I play video games on it occasionally. I'm dual booting 32bit Windows 7 Beta and 32bit Windows XP. I'm not willing to upgrade my MoBo, RAM, and CPU to i7 just yet.

My top idea is to get a new CPU cooler, be it a HSF or a water cooling set, and then OC my E8400 further. It's at 3.60 Ghz at only 1.109 volts according to CPU-Z. Max Prime95 temp is 44C.

My other idea was to get a WD HD TV Media Player and hard drive so I can take my archived movies and shows to the TV.

Any other ideas or suggestions? My build follows.

EVGA 8800GT @ 600/900
E8400 @ 3.60Ghz
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Crucial Ballistix 2GB @ 4-4-4-12 DDR2-800
Asus P5K-E
Corsair 550VX
320GB 7200.10 Seagate Barracuda
640GB AALS Western Digital Caviar Black
Cooler Master 690
5x 120mm High Speed Yate Loon fans
3x 120mm Cooler Master fans

That's really low voltage on the CPU and you already have a pretty decent HSF. My E4600, which is stock at 2.4GHz, was at 3.0GHz with 1.376V when I had the exact same AC Freezer. I would try simply upping the voltage a bit with your current setup first and then going from there.

Yea I know it is. It helps that my motherboard can virtually disable vdroop. There was a slight drop according to the OCCT graph but it's small enough that no difference is made on CPU-Z. But anyway, when I OC'd it to 3.85 or something like that the Prime95 max temp goes as high as 58. Too high for me.

58 is actually still pretty low but if thats your limit, let it be

think about it this way, you probably wont ever stress the cpu as much as prime does, if i were you id go ahead and try to OC more...

Thats lowteckh's way of asking for your budget for this upgrade. :p
