I have a system that will halt in orthos after about 2 hours with the random = .5 expected .4 error. The motherboard is asrock G41M-S so not the best in the world but the person i'm building the system for is limited in budget.
No overclocking at all has occurred.
I've noticed in CPU-Z it's reporting memory size as anywhere from 7GB to 42GB, usually with one stick detected as PC2-32000. I've now tried replacing every component within the system and it's still happening (replaced one at a time CPU, motherboard, memory, power supply).
Think I by some fluke got 2 bad motherboards, or CPU-Z dosn't like the asrock board? any other suggestions?
