Suggestions on mini-ITX case

I need a good, not too expensive, case to go with my ASUS AT5NM10-I.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Intend to spend around $40-$70 if possible. If it cost more, can some valid reasons given as to why? If the features whatnot can justify the price increase....


I have a Q6660 with 4 HDs RAID-10 pulling avg 110W and intend to find a low power replacement for it. Current server is running 2 VMs under Xen paravirt. The replacement will be doing about the same, shouldn't tax it too hard.

The SG05 is too big for an atom. Dont use it unless you plan on using a mainstream CPU and a dedicated NV/ATI GPU.

I was looking at SG06 earlier, too bad the $15 rebate is for the SG05.

Looks like the PC-Q08 is right around the corner. I'm not in a hurry getting the case. I might just hold out a little longer to see the review on PC-Q08.

If I get a case without PSU, what's a good recommend 80+ PSU? I don't need tons of watts, I think 150~200W would be enough? Thanks again.

When I purchased the mobo, I didn't find the D510 based on Supermicro ones. Just a brief research on the mobo (X7SPA-H), it cost twice as much as the Asus one.

I intend to keep total cost below $200, shipped. CPU+mobo+case. Since I'm going to re-use the DIMMs and HD (break a HD off the RAID-10) from the Q6600 setup I have. The two mobos you listed uses SO-DIMM. It will require me to purchase additional RAM. (Plus I have like 10+ mix DIMM sticks of 2GB and 1GB laying around.)

The extra SATA connectors and x16 PCI-Express slot is NICE! I know Supermicro makes excellent server mobos. The mobos you listed seems to be design to fit within 1U cases. I've also seen non-connect 4x blade systems fitted in 2U chassis, this would be a nice low-power green server (I can't remember the company that makes this chassis).

Thanks for the suggestion. Just the total price is out of my range.
