12-13,3" tft
Pentium/Celeron M
512MB+ ram
40GB+ hd
(internal optical drive)
WLAN-G

not for gaming...mainly for internet/mail/office etc. Internal optical drive not required anymore, i'll get 1GB usb stick.

700m looks pretty nice. There's several items for sale on ebay at very reasonable price...

EDIT: it looked pretty nice but now when I've looked closer it seems a bit clumsy because of it's thichness 1,5" so there no absolute need for internal drive ...

Not sure of your meaning here, what does the 1.5" thickness have to do with the need for an internal drive?

I'm happy with my 700M so far, and would recomend it to any one looking for a nice light lappy.

I'd say look at an IBM X31, or an X40 (depending on what your priorities are)....or if you wanna go cheaper, I've got an X30 I'm using. It's not quite as nice as my X31 was...but it was half the price, and has all the battery life of the X31.

(of course, the X31 had a 1.4 P-m, 16mb ATI Radeon, and an 802.11ABG card, where my X30 just has a 1.2 p3-m, 8mb-64mb intel video, and an 802.11b card...)

like people above have mentioned, the ibms are pretty good. i have a T40, which is about an inch thick, 5 pounds or something. Centrino 1.3, 512 ram, dvd-rom, 40 gb hard drive, but only built in wireless-b.

I going to get Asus M5200N with P-M725/512MB/60GB/combo-drive (internal)

275 x 235 x 21(min.)-29.8 (max.) (WxDxH in millimeters)
1.55 Kg (with 24WHr battery pack and DVD-ROM )

I was looking at the ASUS notebooks as well. Just curious, who are you ordering through?
