Suggestions for IPS LCD - Mac - No DisplayPort, Font rendering issues

Hi all,

I am in the market for a new IPS LCD for hooking up with my 9800GT GFX card Hackintosh. I don't have a Display Port, so the new Apple Cinema LED Displays are out of the question. I need a new IPS LCD to replace my dying Gateway FPD2485W.

I am wary about pulling the plug on any of the newer IPS panels being discussed here, as I am not quite certain whether there still are font rendering issues with these LCDs. The issue I am talking about is the "blurry font" problem on Snow Leopard that requires a terminal hack to turn the fonts legible again. I made my Gateway LCD run fine, but nowhere was the quality of on screen fonts even remotely close to the quality on an Apple Display.

Does anyone have any suggestions for excellent monitors (IPS) that work great with Snow Leopard? My budget is ~ 800$ and I am looking for monitors up to 24". I have narrowed the field down to NEC EA231WMi, Dell U2410, HP ZR24W. Any others will be highly appreciated.
