Hi guys, I am building a new Ivy Bridge system and got all my parts in today, annnd the Corsair Carbide 500R I bought was bigger than I was expecting. I am coming from a CM Stacker 830 so maybe the right phrase is "not as small" as I was looking for. silly me either way.
My system specs:
GigaByte Z77
3570K
Asus 7850 (crossfire in future)
CM 212+ / evo tower cooler
2x4gig RAM
1xSSD + 1xHDD
I want to fit all that into as small a box as possible, as quietly as possible, while keeping thermals manageable. I wouldn't mind the system running a little hot if it kept quiet about it.
I could also return the GigaByte Z77 board and build on an ASUS Maximus V Gene if all that would work ok together on a mATX system.
I looked into Lian Li cases but they seemed to be either similar sized to my new 500R or tiny ITX cases.
Any input is appreciated, thanks guys
