Good day everyone (=

A collegue of mine is looking to purchase either one unit to serve as a mail/file/web server or three independent units. The mail server should be able to house an unlimited number of accounts (the boss eats up lots of space, already at 300MB+), the file server should serve around 300 employees although most of them are dispersed in the field so dial-up would be the norm connection to the file server and the web server will not have much traffic (max hits is in the tens of thousands a day) and will be running ms sql + server side scripting language.

Right now he's looking into a Compaq Prolient Server DL380 with 2GB of RAM, and 3x72GB SCSI HD costing around US$6,400

If we were to provide the comp specs for each unit, what would be the major considerations for each of the function? Comments/Suggestions anyone?

Thanks!
