What about vid card? AGP or PCI-E? I Prefer Asus over any other brand lately, and MSI has been good to me as well. With Intel, I would stay away from DFI, My friends and I have had nothing but problems with them, and Even the people at DFI-street say the DFI/intel systems are not performing well compared to the amd counterparts. This weekend I just swapped my DFI board for an Asus P5GD1 and am much happier now. If you are planning to have components that hopefully will transition to a future generation system, I'd choose DDR2 over DDR, Especially if you are buying new memory anyway. I do not have anything with DDR2 in it at the moment, but the next system will most likely have to have it.
