Suggest: creative labs gaming headset

Hello! I have a creative soundblaster xfi soundcard and i need a gaming headset to go with it! Can anyone suggest the best ones in the 80-110$ range? Preferably one that is x-fi reliant and wired through usb. Thanks!

If you can bump up to the $140 range, go with the Sennheiser PC-350s, I have been using these headphones since 2008, they use the same drivers as a 400$ pair of cans and you can mod them to sound even better. Dont get sucked into these 5.1 and 7.1 headsets, they are trash in comparison to a good stereo set.

That would be spam up above. To give you some insight though, any USB headset you get is going to bypass your soundcard so you want an analog headset if you plan to use the features of your X-Fi.

So ur saying if i get a usb headset that has its own 7.1 surround sound driver, it wouldnt utilize the soundcard UNLESS i get analog?

Correct. The whole point of getting a USB headset is that you don't need a sound card to use it. If you want to use your current X-Fi card then you need an analog headset.

The Roccat Kave gets fairly good reviews and is within your price range, and they are nice in terms of positional audio if you are a big gamer, but for pure sound quality you can do better. Corsair also has some good offerings in that range, though as others have said be careful you get the analog version, not USB, or it will bypass your soundcard.

I would agree with others that if you can afford to go higher Sennheiser is where it's at in terms of sound quality.

They come with a USB adapter but its use is optional. I'd recommend spending a bit more on something higher end if you can, though.

Ok i decided to go with the creative sigma ones. They offer options to choose USB 7.1 and analog so theres an adapter of some sort. Is this any good?

Not really that good, as I said. USB is not a "feature" for you -- you have a quality soundcard, no need for it. I'd strongly recommend paying a bit more and getting the Roccat Kave set or something from Sennheiser or Corsair.

I understand, it has an analog input jack with a USB optional adapter. I wont be using that ohh thanks! Those headsets have good reviews but unfortunately i got them already :c ill tell u how they sound!
