suggest cpu/motherboard combo

Hello

Looking for new motherboard and cpu. Would like two go intel i-5 3570k maybe.
I'am worried about the heat issue with this cpu. So it leads me two consider the i-5
sandy bridge 2500k or 2600k. Also would like a reliable motherboard with no issues.
My end result is a fast cpu/motherboard with little or no issues. I like assus and gigabyte
motherboards. Any avice would be apprec. Thanks

Web browsing, photoshop, hd movies, some light gaming etc

i would like usb 3.0, sata 6gb/s, onboard video main, uefi would be nice

If you aren't overclocking, then the "heat" issue with Ivy Bridge wouldn't effect you. Also no reason for you to buy the "K" version of either Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge processors as the only difference is the unlocked multiplier which is only useful if you are overclocking.

Down the road, i would like two try overclocking just not at this time. I would like just for now two get
a stable fast system up and running.
 
Help us out here and answer sticky question #5. Since you're only requesting help on the processor and motherboard, you're essentially reusing the rest of your old build. We ask because depending on what you're using and how old everything is, you may have to order additional things in the near future (if not sooner).

For example, do you have DDR3 1333 or DDR3 1600 RAM? If so, what's the brand and model of said RAM? How many volts does the RAM use? (If you can't answer those questions, you'll also need to buy some RAM for this "build.")

If you don't plan on overclocking for years, then you should worry about buying overclocking parts right now. But where do you plan on ordering your parts from?

The Ivy Bridge heat issues are only prominent when overclocking the processor; it is otherwise fine during operation at stock speeds.

What video card are you considering for "light gaming"? How much are you planning to spend on it?
 
the video card will be added at a later date. I would be looking at about 50-70 cdn dollars.
before the video card i will be getting a ssd 60-120 gigs. i can only afford two add these
2 things at a later date. So i haven't look at these items yet.I would prob go with a
Corsair Force Series GT 120GB 84.99 at ncix or a Crucial M4 SSD Micron C400 128GB

thanks tiraides, that does look like a good combo, i'am thinking the prosessor i-5 is what iam looking for, the motherboard is what i'am trying two narrow down
