Suggest a video card?

Hey guys. I've been out of the hardware loop for a while now, but I'm looking to upgrade my video card. I have an Asus P4P800 motherboard, currently running a Radeon 9700 AIW. As for games, I've been playing a lot of WoW and UT2K4, but I really don't want to buy a video card just because it runs well for a certain game.

As for the new card, I want to keep the budget right around $350 or so. I also want to get into water cooling, I've been looking to get like a Maze 4 block for the graphics card, but this is still up in the air. I really don't care between ATI or Nvidia, whatever performs better for the buck :) If anyone could recommend a card for me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Either an x800xl AIW(since this seems to be the only agp version of that card atm) or a 6800gt.

The BBA oem AIW is 400$ + 4 s/h atm on newegg, with a 50$ instant rebate, taking it to 354$. This way you can keep your aiw things if you like them.

Cheapest 6800gt on newegg is 359$(included s/h) which is an xfx, 6800gt. The asus one is cheaper, but only has 128mb gddr3, vs 256mb for the others.

It Doesn't have to be an AIW. I'd kinda prefer it not be since most water blocks won't fit on AIW cards (That's one of my main reasons of upgrading). I was checking out the X800's, it's hard to find an AGP one. So the 6800 GT is a pretty good buy?

It's relatively easy to find an X800 Pro now a days. I would instead suggest getting the 6800 GT. I hate to reccomend nVidia (I'm an ATi guy, but i have a 6800nu in my computer right now). However, nVidia 6800 GTs can be found on the cheap with a little bit of hunting. (BTW, they're still very fast.)

the XL doesn't overclock very well. you'd get more out of water with a 6800 GT.

Yeah, that's very true, and upgrade the BIOS and run the Vcore at 1.4v (up from 1.3v) and you can easily pass Ultra speeds. (that requires better cooling. More Voltage = More Heat)
