Suddenly low frps

So I got a 4850 last week, been playing it on different monitors ( been trying to find the right looking one) I finally settle on the Samsung Syncmaster 2232bw+, instal monitor and all drivers etc. Start up some TF2 and when I'm in heavy combat I get 35-40 FRPS, where previously I would never drop below 50ish. Any ideas? I plan on getting a 4870 when more are available but would like to adress this issue now. Other stats ar ein sig
 
just a shot in the dark here but was it during an unusually intense fight? more players on screen = more models to be rendered = less FPS sometimes. a more canned test like the Crysis gpu test would probably be a better indicator in this case.
 
is it too hot? did you use a driver cleaning program to get all the nvidia files out?
 
last i heard they didnt have updated drivers for the 4850, only what came with the card
