I have this issue happen several times in Rainbow Six - Siege and one time in Star Wars - Jedi Survivor. It is basically a sudden vertical interpolation, but messing with in-game resolution options tends to trigger it.
It is almost as if resolution is cut in half during gameplay. Text becomes unreadable. Exiting to desktop does not resolve the issue. There is no way to take a screenshot because on screenshots everything looks fine. Monitor OSD is also not affected. Restarting GPU with "WinKey+Ctrl+Shift+B" does not help. Changing refresh rate and/or resolution does not help. The only way to resolve this phenomenon is either by restarting PC or by temporarily switching input to another monitor and back. Switching between monitors is the easiest thing to do. Restarting PC while system is in that vertically-interpolated state takes extra long time. It takes up to 30 seconds before monitor receives signal.
GPU is RTX 4060 Ti and monitor is AW3423DWF. There are no other graphical corruptions or issues. Everything is stable, even after 48 hours of heavy CPU + GPU stress test. I had a different RTX before RTX 4060 Ti and there was no such issue, but there was an obvious flicker every once in a while. I could reproduce it by simply touching DisplayPort cable. This isn't the case anymore. Yanking DisplayPort cable now doesn't trigger anything. Can this be DisplayPort cable not providing enough bandwidth? Its a common 6ft DisplayPort cable. It let's me select 165Hz, 8bit, 3440x1440 resolution. Since there is no monitor OSD corruption and screenshots do not show anything, I think its some kind of signal loss, but I am not sure.
