Sudden hard drive death

So I wake up this morning and my BIOS isn't recognizing my couple-month-old 1 TB drive. It's a Seagate 7200.11 1TB (Model: ST31000340AS, Firmware: SD15, Made in Thailand) that I got from ZZF 6 months ago. This sounds *exactly* like http://forums.seagate.com/stx/board...&thread.id=3283&view=by_date_ascending&page=1, http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1379898, etc.

Anyone know if theres a fix out for this?

I have the same HDD on my main computer. Had all sorts of problems when I built the machine and I always thought it was the bios for my motherboard or something else. Computer has been mostly working for the last 6 or 7 months, until two days ago when I start it up and it shows no HDD in bios. HDD spins up fine, just doesn't ever show up. Then I started reading about everyone having problems with this drive and now wonder if all my BSoD's I have been having since I built this comp is because of the HDD. Oh well, WD 1TB drive on the way and think I will stick to WD exclusively now. Not that I never had a WD fail on me, it's just I also had 3 brand new seagate drives sitting around and after my seagate 1TB failed, I broke out a new seagate drive, installed it and tried loading the OS on it....and it wouldn't take it. None of them would. So four out of four seagate drives I had failed in a very short time frame on one and DOA on three. Now that, I have never had happen to me with WD.
