Subwoofer for PC

Pardon my harshness, but does this not seem like a question that may be adequately answered by Google? You've dedicated roughly eight seconds to the conceptualization and execution of this topic/post, so it's a certainty that you should not expect any more from those who may respond.

But, for the sake of "niceties", Onix and PartsExpress subwoofers produce fairly capable budget subwoofers.

More watts != better. If you're looking for good computer speakers (for use without a reciever), try Klipsch Promedia.

Adire audio tempest for $150 is a great sub also.. then you need an amp and a box.. :D

OP if this is a serious request, and not a hit and run post, then you'll need to list:

- how much cash you're willing to spend

- And whatever components you plan on connecting to this proposed subwoofer ie; receiver, surround speakers, computer etc.

Otherwise if you're looking for a bang-for-the-buck traditional home theatre subwoofer then look up ebay merchant acousticdesign. He's selling the Bic H-100 sub and accepts "best offers" of $190 + shipping. The Bic H-100 is currently the most recommended $200 sub at the AVS forums and i enjoy mine very much ;)

It sounds that your friends sub was loud and boomy, and that's what you want. Pretty much any sub can do this, the Promedia 2.1 sub is extremely loud even at 1/4 volume. Might satisfy you.
