How did you get it??
It's a pain to me but its something i will have to know and i am trying to find a good way to learn it and understand it.
 
practice, practice, practice, and more practice. just stick with it, and eventually it will click. there are several ways to go about it (and google is your friend) which use different short-cuts, or you can simply go back to binary... i use a combination of all the different ways i was shown dependant upon what i need to work out. the key though really is practice.
 
Learn to think of IP addresses in binary and how to do boolean math, specifically the "and" operator.
 
I was going to post that exact same link. I would recommend watching his whole series. tons of good information in there :)

Yeah i watched all of them also. Learned how and then i did it the following week in school. Totally helped understand sub netting and wasn't as confused as other in my class :p (at beginning anyway)
