Hey, I have a Creative inspire 7700 7.1 surroun system for my pc, and for some reason my sub stopped working and I can't get it to work again. This started a few weeks ago, and it was temporarily fixed by me moving some cables, specially the pod and power cables, and it would cut on. Now I can't get it to work at all, and I've tried different sound cards at least... I'm guessing there are cable problems somewhere, but the system isn't very old, there shouldn't be anything wrong with the cables...
 
cables rarely, if ever go bad...

can you take off the part of the sub where the cables connect? it's possible that something isn't screwed together tight on the connections on the inside... that wouldn't be totally out of the question for something like that to happen...
 
creative speakers have a knack for wires coming loose. Open it up and solder everything.
